REAL-TIME DEMOCRACY

Democracy for the Powers that Shouldn’t Be means, letting the People vote every 4 years or so – it keeps them quiet the rest of the time. In the New Age, Democracy will be a 24/7 activity. It will be Real-time Democracy. The potentials of the Internet are the New Age.

Real-time, adjective.

Denoting or relating to a data-processing system in which a computer receives constantly changing data, such as information relating to air-traffic control, travel booking systems, etc, and processes it sufficiently rapidly to be able to control the source of the data. Collins English Dictionary – Complete & Unabridged 2012 Digital Edition.

In this case the Source of the Data are the people themselves – you can’t get any closer than that! The fewer people interested, and the less important the situation, the faster the Inclusion and Deliberation processes will take, and an Accord should be reached quickly. Or if there are large numbers of interested people, and the situation is of great importance, the Democratic Process will take longer.

But an important thing to remember is that no matter how quickly or slowly the process unfolds, it is still Democracy in action at all times – and with an instant response time regarding those involved.
